Question: Compare and contrast a Sony Walkman with an Apple iPod, and describe the differences in their physical construction, interface design, technology and delivery of sound. Quick sketches are helpful for this analytical process.

Apple IPOD:

- High quality sound system.
- Easy to use interface, easy controls, "click wheels".
- Screens showing song list, helps to choose from thousands of songs in a matter of seconds.
-Easy to find the song needed.
- Slim, small, can fit into pockets.
- Can be carried around anywhere very easily.
- Consist of a memory hard drive where you can upload thousands of songs onto your IPOD through your computer.
-rechargeable batteries
- The sounds is clearer and can be more easily controlled.
- shake proof, shaking and movement will not affect sound quality.

Sony Walkman

- sound quality is not as great as an IPOD.
- Is not shake proof, sound quality will become affected if there is a big movement.
- batteries needed, batteries are not rechargeable.
- heavy, and bulkier than an IPOD.
-Need to rewind or forward to find the song needed.
-Hard to find the song needed.
- Cassette cannot carry a lot of songs compare to a hard drive.
- the controls are easy to use.
